" Building a Soccer Community"
Northern New York Youth Soccer (NNYYSL) is designed as a more competitive Travel league. These are select teams NOT Recreational Teams. Teams from Lewis, Jefferson, Northern Oswego and St. Lawrence Counties will be participating. Travel will be required. All players and coaches will be required to have player passes to participate in the League. All Clubs must be affiliated with a state association and the Northern New York Youth Soccer League
In 2007, our inagural year, was the creation of the first New York West Youth Soccer Association (NYSW) Sanctioned league in Northern New York. In 2007 we had 5 Under-12 Boys teams and 6 Under-12 Girls Teams. 5 new clubs were formed and have become affiliated with NNYYSL and NYSW.U12Festival.
In 2010 The NNYYSL had 70 teams and 12 affillated Clubs. The growth in soccer by players, coaches , parents and fans has exploded. There is a true community spirit of " Building a Soccer Community"
2011 bring about the expansion of our league and the addition of the FIRST NYSW Sactioned Tournament in Northern New York.. The Northern NY Cup & Festival. We have hosted an annual year end festival for all member teams for the last 4 years, We are expanding the festival to include a tournament format for the older age bracket Under-15 and up. The greatest thing about the event is that every club has a role in the tournament and the proceedsa are going to be shared throughout the clubs helping build the tournament. It should prove to be another landmark for the NNYYSL.
